| Chapter 1 - It’s Happening! “Wow,
you guys really do kick ass!” Kelsey said as Darla, Tracy, Sabrina, Casey and Nadine
stepped off the school stage.
“Thanks a bunch, Kels.” Darla smiled and hugged her, “Now if only we could
get a record deal. I hope people at those places actually listen to demos and stuff.”
“Oh, be quiet.” Pamela, their manager sighed, “You know we’re going to
get a deal soon. Patience is key.” Pam always had a way of putting things into
perspective. She was the business worthy, savvy type of girl who knew what she was doing.
She knew they were going to make it big, they just had to wait for the right time.
“Today, we also have to go do a photo shoot for the local magaziene....oh, I forgot
the name already. Well, as long as I know where the offices are.” Tracy told Kelsey,
“You can come along if you want.”
“That’d be great.” Kelsey smiled.
Darla Robertson had always dreamed of bieng a star. Growing up in a troubled home, always
moving, always fighting, she used music and acting as a way of venting. She was a
beautiful, blond haired, blue eyed girl of 18, the youngest one of the group and knew what
she wanted from life already. She had faith in this group and knew Pam was the right one
for the job of management.
When the girls had met, then it was only Darla, Sabrina and Nadine, in elementary school,
they had formed a close friendship together.
Sabrina Thomas was the smart one of the group. She always had good grades and always had a
plan for everything. Weather it be getting out of trouble or getting the boy, she knew
what she was doing. She had long Brown hair, hazel eyes, stood about 5’6 at the age
of 17. Sabrina and Darla had been the closest, always sharing their secrets with
eachother. When Darla ran away from her home, she had come straight to Sabrina’s
bedroom window and stayed with her until her parents finally
realized she was gone. She always knew Darla wanted to be a singer or actress. Bieng
very proud of Darla, she always had new auditions and try outs ready and waiting
for her when she came over, knowing that she’d always get a part.
Nadine Johnston loved bieng the center of attention and always had a smart answer for
everything. She thought fast, spoke fast and had a wonderful sense of humor. She had long
strawberry blond hair, blue eyes and was the shortest one of the group standing at
5’4 at the age of 20. She had to have an I.D. with her at all times because alot of
people usually never believed her when she told them her age. That never bothered her, she
was a confident, happy girl with a good head on her shoulders and was always around
when you needed help. One day in 7th grade, Nadine was pulled out of class and found out
that she had to give a new girl a tour of the school and hang out with her for a few days
until she knew where she was going and made a few friends.
Casey “KC” Kirksson was shy at first but as soon as she met the rest of the
girls, she knew she would fit in well. She loved to laugh and always had a smile on her
face no matter what was going on. She could have been Sabrina’s twin if she
hadn’t been 2 years older. She was in the same grade because the school had held her
back, but everyone knew she was smart. She could have cared less about what grade she was
in as long as she always had people around her. She loved bieng around people
and had a voice that could fill a whole school auditorium, which it did quite a few times
while on stage with Darla. The two became close friends through their love of acting and
singing.
Tracy Lee was Casey’s best friend from the age of 2 on up. They had kept in touch
when Casey moved to San Jose, California in the 7th grade because of her father’s
buisness being moved. Tracy was seldom seen with a smile plastered on her face and
was very blunt with things. She had short black hair, a pierced tongue, bellybutton, and
eyebrow, but was a beautiful girl, none the less. Bieng the same age and height at Casey,
everyone thought that they were sisters, but soon found that Tracy
was an only child.
~*~Later that day, after the shoot and interview~*~
“Excuse me? But are you the members of the group ‘Devinlish Angels’?”
A dark looking woman with a bright smile walked up.
“Yes, we are.” Darla answered.
“Well, I’m an agent for Jive Records and I think you may have a deal coming to
you. Here’s my card, call and make an appointment with my secratary and I’ll see
you then.” she walked away and was gone as quickly as she had shown up.
“Oh my god!” Sabrina yelled in the middle of the mall. People turned to stare as
Darla grabbed the girls and pulld them into a store.
“It’s happenning!!!!” Casey whispered loudly as they all looked at the card
Darla held in her hand. |
