Nick is so nervous. Just two more days and the world tour will kick off. Kevin, Brian, Howie, AJ and himself will start the world tour in their hometown Orlando, Florida and after that they will be touring all over the USA and Canada and then fly overseas to do a lot of shows in Europe, and this time the boys will even go to Asia and Australia. This will mean one and a half year of touring and that’s why Nick is so happy that Kimberley, his girlfriend, can come along too. Kimberley is an eighteen-year-old girl and she’s 5’7" tall. She has dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. Those eyes are actually the reason why Nick fell for her two years ago, when he met her at an after-party in his actual hometown Tampa. They are together for one and a half year now and from the beginning on it was a hard relationship, cause they couldn’t be together as much as they wanted and it’s hard to keep a long-distance relationship last.

Ok, back to the world tour. Of course the other guys will take their girlfriends too. Brian will be very happy, cause he gets to see Laura every day and the same is with AJ, cause his girl Melina will also go on the road with them. Kevin and Howie have to wait for their girls a few more days, cause those two still have to come over from out of state and they’ll join the rest in about five days. So then Kevin will get to see his girl Sarah, who has to come over all the way from England and Howie will get the time to be with his love Veronica, who has got to come from New York. Also their best friends get the chance to come along on tour. That will make it possible for the guys to live a life that’s a bit like their normal lives. That’s why Nick will take Linda with him, but also Nathalie, cause he can’t live without both of them. He knows them for such a long time! Brian will take Jenni with him. He got to know her through a student exchange between his school and a school in Taiwan. He met Jenni there and since then they are the best friends you can ever imagine. Jenni even moved to Kentucky, cause she couldn’t live without her best mate. Ok, back to the friends now. Kevin will take his pal Brianna with him and AJ will do the same with Christina, his best mate. Howie will take Deanna on the road with him, so he won’t be alone either.

Also their managers arranged that their families can come to see the guys whenever they want to, even when they are not in the States anymore. The Backstreet Boys were happy that this time they could be with the peoples they loved and not have to leave them behind for such a long time. Ok, back to Nick now. He’s very nervous because of the big tour and that’s what he told RedRose, his internet buddy. They got to know each other at a site of computer fanatics and since then they had become good friends. Nick tried to chat with her every day, but of course that wasn’t always possible. Today he has the time, cause the Backstreet Boys already have had rehearsals and now he has about three hours of free time. That’s still not much, but he still has to practice his dance moves, cause they’re not all yet as smooth as they have to be. ‘So, why are you so nervous about this tour?’ RedRose asks Nick. ‘It’s just that we got this whole new show. Everything is different from all the shows and I’m afraid that I will forget my dance moves or my lines or something like that.’ Nick tells her. ‘I’m sure you will do fine,’ RedRose says, ’you always do and that won’t change just because of a different show. The girls who’ll be there love you, remember? They won’t even know when you’ll make a mistake’ ‘You’re probably right, I shouldn’t worry so much’ Nick says and that’s what he does.

Brian and Kevin are spending their free time with their family. Of course their mom and dads are there (except for Kevin’s dad of course), but also Harold could make it and so did Gerald and Tim. Also some cousins are there, like Lilly, who’s both Brian and Kevin’s cousin, but also Anna has come. She’s only a cousin of Brian. Also Laura, Brian’s girlfriend, is there. Kevin’s girlfriend Sarah isn’t there, cause she lives in England. That’s too bad for Kevin, but that doesn’t keep him from having a good time. ‘Kevin?’ Lilly asks, ‘can I also come to see you once and a while when you’re on tour?’ ‘Of course you can,’ Kevin says, ‘I would be glad to have you there and I’m sure Brian will say the same. Maybe you can hang out with Sanna and Kristina than, they’re almost the same age as you are.’ Sanna is Nick’s sister, who’s seventeen years old and Kristina is AJ’s cousin who’s fifteen years old, while Erin is sixteen. ‘Yeah, that would be cool,’ Erin says, ‘I will call them some time soon, so we can pick some dates when we all can make it to see you. And of course we will come to see you with Christmas or at birthdays, ok?’ ‘That’s fine by me,’ Kevin says and he’s glad to see his cousin happy.

AJ doesn’t really has free time, cause he’s discussing his world tour with his personal manager Stacey. ‘Don’t you think that it’s all too much?’ Stacey asks a bit worried, ‘it is a very long world tour and with those insomnia problems you have, it could become a problem.’ ‘I can get medicines for that, can’t I?’ AJ says not understanding why she’s making such a problem of it. ‘Of course you can, but I still wish you’d go to the doctor for some help.’ Stacey says. ‘I don’t need to see a doctor,’ AJ says now getting a bit angry, ‘my insomnia problems will be over as soon as I will get on the road. I’m just a bit nervous, that will vanish as soon as the tour gets started.’ ‘OK, if that’s what you think,’ Stacey says not really convinced, ‘but you know you can always come to me whenever you have a problem, right?’ ‘Right,’ AJ says and that’s the end of the discussion.

Howie is spending his free time as he should. Just relaxing on the couch, doing nothing. The only thing he can think about is Veronica, cause he can’t wait to see her. They haven’t seen each other for a month now, so that’s why Howie is the most excited of the guys about the tour, cause than he gets to see her every day, which is a problem at the moment. The same is with Kevin, but he’s used to not seeing his girlfriend for a while, cause he met Sarah during their first tour in England and since then they just spend about a year with each other. It’s just hard not seeing your girlfriend when you’re always on the road, but the boys can manage and they sure don’t think of giving their girlfriends of just because of their job.

AJ can’t make it to the practice ‘cause he wants to spend some time with Christina, his best friend. They hadn’t had the time to talk for a while and AJ thinks he already can do the dance moves as he has to, so that’s why he’s taking Christina out for lunch. They decide to go to a seafood restaurant. ‘So, what have you been up to lately?’ Christina asks. ‘I’ve been very busy with preparing the new show,’ AJ says, ‘and I can tell you that it’s going to be great. By the way, will you join me on the tour from the beginning on?’ ‘Yeah! Of course!’ Christina exclaims, ‘I really can’t wait! I have never been outside of the US. I can’t wait to go to Europe! And what about Asia! Man, I’m so excited!’ Christina can’t stop talking and AJ understands, cause he was the same when he first went touring outside the country.

‘Hey guys!’ Brian yells into the studio, but Kelsey and Nick don’t hear him, because the music is so loud. That’s why he sneaks up to them from behind and then says: ‘Put your hands in the air, this is a robbery.’ So that’s what Kelsey and Nick do with a scared look on their face. Then Brian starts laughing and he hysterically says: ‘I can’t believe that you guys didn’t recognize my voice! This is so funny!’ ‘My god! Brian, it was you!’ Kelsey says a little angry, ‘you really scared the hell out of me.’ ‘I know! It’s so funny!’ Brian says, while he still is laughing. ‘Can we get back to work now?’ Nick now says a little pissed of. ‘Of course. I’m sorry,’ Brian says, ‘shall we start with ‘Everybody’ ?’ ‘That’s fine by me,’ Kelsey says and she turns on the CD-player.

Howie also is very busy doing his own stuff. He’s re-decorating his house and today he decided to paint his bedroom. He asks his cousin Felissa to come and help, so now they are painting the bed. They are both all covered with paint, but it doesn’t matter. ‘I’m really going to miss you when you’re on tour,’ Felissa says in a sad voice. ‘Don’t be sad,’ Howie says trying to comfort her, ‘you can come and visit me anytime. I’ll try to call you as much as possible, ok?’ ‘Ok, that’s a promise!’ Felissa says a bit more happy now. She can’t stand that her cousin is a famous person, cause she always has to miss him when he’s on tour. They are just cousins, but they have a very special bond. When Felissa was just a little baby, Howie always sang to her at night, so she wouldn’t cry anymore. After Felissa’s parents died, she moved in with the Dorough’s and since then Howie is like a brother to her. Now they are never apart, except for the times when Howie is on tour, but even then he tries to see and call her as much as he can.
